When you first walk into any of Kalamazoo Orthodontics’ three convenient and comfortable practice locations, your first inclination may be to question whether you’re in the right place! You’ve probably never been in an office like ours before. There is always a warm reception, so you will immediately know this is the right place for you to entrust your orthodontic needs. We want you ask yourself, “Why would I want to go anywhere else?”
KO has lots of stuff on display. We feature an eclectic collection of memorabilia that reflects the interests and passions of Dr. Bowman. “I always planned to work where I could control the environment, select the music I wanted to listen to and insure that the daily experience is always enjoyable.” He’s been collecting this stuff over a lifetime. Not only did Dr. Bowman draw and design the plans for each of our unique offices, Mrs. Bowman decorated them.
PORTAGE PRACTICE
Some highlights of our collection include our Star Wars and movie hallway, rock music walls and guitar rooms, Elvis Costello room, auto racing collection, Looney Toons instructional cove, Los Lobos walls (Louie Pérez and Steve Berlin from the band, Los Lobos, have even visited us to see them!), Shaq/Gretzky/Dr. J Hero’s wall and displays of plenty of interesting hockey, basketball and baseball memorabilia. You also may note many of Dr. Bowman’s publications, inventions, international lecture destinations and honors are on display as well. With satellite flat screen TVs (viewing sports, music videos or cartoons) and a Bose sound system in our clinic area (featuring Dr. Bowman’s personal selection of tunes), we’re always rockin’! No wonder we’ve been featured in a number of publications, including a cover story in Ortho Tribune, OrthoTown Orthodontic Products, Kalamazoo Weekly, Orthodontic Practice US, etc.
KALAMAZOO PRACTICE
Our Kalamazoo practice is located at 5555 Gull Road in the landmark Trillium Building (on the Northeast corner of Gull and Sprinkle Roads). Just look for the fountain in the pond. We are quite proud of our newest office, designed by Dr. Bowman. From the nautical theme of the welcoming reception area and the cozy examination room, to the rock, sports and movie memorabilia in our large clinic area, this practice is always a joy to visit. We’re proud to have offered orthodontics in the Kalamazoo/Richland region for over 30-years.
PAW PAW PRACTICE
Our Paw Paw practice was recently redecorated by Sherry Bowman with a completely new vibe. This office is located in the heart of Paw Paw, adjacent to lovely Maple Lake, at 179 West Michigan Avenue (Red Arrow Highway). In fact, folks come to relax in our parking area and enjoy lunch by the water, watching the swans, or to fish off the covered walking bridge. We welcome you to our entertainment-themed reception area and coffee bar. Auto racing displays for NASCAR, IndyCar and Formula 1, along with Los Lobos and Los Lonely Boys memorabilia, adorn our clinic walls. As the only orthodontist along the I-94 corridor from Kalamazoo to St. Joseph, we’ve taken great pride in serving this area for over 20 years.
